Job Description:

Kingdom Pipe and Steel (Brannon Industrial Group) is seeking a hardworking and

dependable Yard Hand to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for

assisting in the daily operations of our yard, ensuring efficient organization and movement

of materials. This role requires attention to detail, forklift operation, and a strong work ethic

to maintain a safe and productive work environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Inspect inbound and outbound pipe shipments for quality and accuracy.

• Load and unload trucks safely and efficiently using a forklift.

• Sort and organize pipe according to company specifications.

• Maintain a clean and organized yard, ensuring space is used effectively.

• Assist with general yard upkeep, including debris removal and equipment

maintenance.

• Follow all safety guidelines and company policies to ensure a secure work

environment.

• Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors to coordinate daily

tasks.

Requirements:

• Experience operating a forklift (certification preferred but not required).

• Ability to work outdoors in varied weather conditions.

• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions.

• Physical ability to lift, carry, and move heavy materials as needed.

• Prior experience in a similar role or industry is a plus.

• Reliable transportation and punctuality.

Responsibility and Duties for Yardman at Kingdom Pipe and Steel:

• Pipe inspections for inbound / outbound pipe. Checking for correct wall thickness,

abnormal welds/split seams, straightness, swells or any other abnormalities where

pipe may be deemed scrap or unusable.

• Taking stickers off the pipe during inspection.

• Communicating with the material handler or yard foreman ensuring the inspected

pipe is counted and the count is given to Yard Foreman or Yard Manager so it can be

put into inventory, then the inspected pipe can be put in the correct pipe bin.

• When needed, helping load or unload pipe trucks.

• Getting forklift certified by taking a class through KPS.

• Yard maintenance to be conducted once a week for cleanliness by picking up

unnecessary material to be thrown away, and dunnage which will be stacked into a

dunnage rack.

• Sorting pipe in the Pipe yard that needs to be separated, counted and placed in the

correct pipe bin.

• Willing to learn how to use a hardness tester, Tally gun and ultrasound machine.

• Willing to learn different aspects of yard operations to where the roll can be filled

when needed.

Pay: $16.00 - $25.00 per hour
