Position Purpose: Provides nursing assistance and patient care to provide for the comfort, safety and personal needs of patients. Assists physicians/physician assistants/nurse practitioners in medical office setting. Performs a variety of patient care duties within the construct of a multidisciplinary patient care team as delegated by physician.

Hours/Shift: Full Time/Days M, Tu, Wed & Fri 7:30a-5:00p and Thurs 7:30a-1:30p (40 hrs per week)

 

Qualifications:

  • LPN Candidates
    • Graduate of a practical or vocational nursing program and High school or Equivalent
    • Current, valid Arizona LPN license or compact state LPN/LVN license
    • American Heart Association or American Red Cross BLS certification
  • MA Candidates
    • High School or Equivalent
    • American Heart Association or American Red Cross BLS certification
    • Must meet one of the following three criteria:
    • Has attended an accredited Medical Assistant program by one of the two accrediting agencies:
      • The Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs or The Accrediting Bureau of Health Education Schools
    • If your Medical Assistant program was not accredited by one of the above agencies, you must have a Medical Assistant Certification issued by one of the following:
      • National Healthcareers Association: CCMA
      • American Medical Technologist: RMA
      • American Association of Medical Assistants: AAMA
      • National Center for Competency Testing: NCMA
      • American Medical Certification Association: CMAC
    • Has completed a medical services training program through the Armed Forces of the United States

Work Requirements:

  • Able to distinguish appropriate colors, ability to work above or below shoulder level, life to 50 pounds, and walk or be in feet 90% of the day
  • Expected duties have routine potential for exposure to blood, body fluids or tissues, to chemicals, biological, and radioactive substances
