JOB SUMMARY

The Sales Associate will execute transaction related tasks, including but not limited to, the Gift Shop, during team member events, distribution programs, and fundraising sales. Shifts will vary days and nights and my include holidays and weekends. Operates point of sale and inventory systems including mobile registers. Follows appropriate opening and closing procedures during designated shifts. Assist customers with merchandise selection and purchase inquiries. Assist leader with orders, stocking, cleaning, organizing and arranging merchandise in stock rooms and sales areas. Completes all duties as assigned in a timely manner. Adheres to all medical center compliance standards, code of conduct and corporate compliance policies and procedures.

Overall performance rating of below indicated essential job duties:
Opens point of sale system and counts the cash drawer to confirm the beginning balance, when applicable.
Operates point of sale system to check out customers.
Receives new inventory in point of sale system.
Computes amount due at register, provides change and receipt if appropriate.
Understands the credit card processing systems.
Understands payroll deduction and related policies and procedures.
Completes end of day report, comparing register report to cash and receipts on hand for a balance, when applicable.
Reconciles reports with accounting and payroll
Assists customers with merchandise selection and special orders.
Assists with team member events and sales events.
Transport merchandise to and from mobile events.
Restocks items under the direction of department leader.
Understands department policies and procedures.

Minimum requirement:

High school/GED diploma
Valid Driver's License with no restrictions

Works indoors in an office/clinic setting
The noise level is usually moderate
Events may be indoors or outdoors
May require driving to regional KDHS sites.
transit work structure for mobile sales events.

Constantly required to maintain a stationary position behind a computer.
Frequently required to move about inside the department.
Constantly required to communicate telephonically and face to face with colleagues and customers.
Constantly required to operate a computer and telephone.
Constantly required to lift and/or move up to 10 pounds.
Frequently required to lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
Occasionally required to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
