The Electrician repairs, installs, replaces and tests electrical apparatus and supporting electrical circuitry of the facilities power and lighting distribution system at the Nutley Campus.
Qualifications:
Education, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:
- Vocational School or equivalent.
- Minimum of 4 years of electrician' apprenticeship or equivalent on-the-job training.
- Experience working with 480V AC Systems.
- Lifts, carries, pushes, or pulls a variety of electrical materials (weighing up to 50 pounds).
- Stands, walks most of the day and handles light equipment and objects; climbs on ladders, stoops, kneels and crouches to gain access to electrical wiring.
- Dirt, dust, fumes, grease, heat and cold, unventilated areas
- Required to do indoor and outdoor work.
Licenses and Certifications Preferred:
- Valid NJ Electrical license.
