What are the responsibilities and job description for the Student Transportation Drive position at Kingswood Oxford School?
Kingswood Oxford School is seeking a Part-Time Student Activity Van Driver to safely transport students to and from school during morning and evening hours. The route will be between West Hartford, Connecticut and the Ellington/South Windsor communities. The route will include regional stops in those areas.
Key Responsibilities:
- Safely drive students to and from school on a scheduled route in a timely manner
- Ensure the vehicle is in good working condition and perform basic safety checks before each trip.
- Maintain a positive, friendly, and professional demeanor with students, staff, and parents.
- Adhere to all traffic laws and school transportation policies.
- Assist students with boarding and exiting the van as needed.
- Report any issues or accidents promptly to the school coordinator.
Requirements:
- Clean driving record.
- CT Class A, B, C or D license (Required)
- V Endorsement on your current driver license (Required)
- Must be a21 years or older.
- Reliable, punctual, and responsible.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Ability to maintain composure in a variety of driving conditions.
- Prior experience with children or student transportation is a plus.
Hours:
- Morning shift - hours will be between 6:00 a.m. and 8:00 a.m.
- Evening shift - hours will be between 6:00 p.m. and 8:00 p.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $25.00 - $30.00 per hour
Expected hours: 15 – 20 per week
