Job Description
Position: Accounts Receivable Specialist
Pay Range - $19.00 - $21.00 per hour
Work Schedule: 40 hours/wk
8:00 am – 5:00 pm Monday through Friday with an hour lunch, firm schedule can be decided upon start
The Accounts Receivable Specialist reports directly to the USA Finance Director and is responsible for providing financial, administrative, and clerical services. Accounts Receivable is crucial for a business's financial health, ensuring a steady and predictable cash flow while minimizing the risk of bad debts.
Essential Duties:
High School Diploma
Accounting Experience Preferred
Experience with automated accounting systems; Microsoft AX 2012 Accounting software experience a plus
Working knowledge of Microsoft Office
Ability to work on a computer for up to 8 hours a day

Essential Duties:
- Prepare work to be accomplished by gathering and sorting documents and related information.
- Set up new customer accounts
- Monitor DSO (Days Sales Outstanding)
- Manage cash flow with routine collection calls requesting payment from customers
- Resolve account discrepancies by investigating documentation and taking the necessary steps
- Invoice customer orders
- Forward invoices to customers via preferred method
- File monthly sales tax
- Multi-task and work under time constraints
- Maintain proper support records through a filing system for research and reference
- Ensure the completeness and accuracy of data on accounts
- Contribute to team efforts by accomplishing related results as needed; filing, cross-training, etc.
- Back-up required daily functions in the event AP is out
- Deposit checks electronically
- Monthly reconciliation of company credit card charges and bank accounts
- Maintain customer portal information
- Send customer statements as requested
- Knowledge of accounts receivable
- Ability to maintain a high level of accuracy in preparing and entering financial and payment
- Discretion and trustworthiness due to frequent contact with confidential material
- Good communication and team-building skills
- Analyzing information; analytical and problem-solving skills
- Organizational skills
- Time management skills
