Director of Construction Operations
Kinney Construction Services, Inc. is seeking an experienced and motivated Director of Construction Operations to join our leadership team. In this pivotal role, you will play a critical part in shaping the future of our company by overseeing both pre-construction and operational aspects of projects. Your expertise will drive the successful execution of projects, enhance operational efficiency, and ensure the highest standards of excellence. This position will be based out of our corporate headquarters in Flagstaff, Arizona.
Role and Responsibilities:
· Operational Leadership: Lead, mentor, and manage a diverse team of professionals and provide strategic direction and leadership, ensuring seamless project execution from conception to completion. Collaborate closely with senior leadership to develop and execute strategic plans aligned with company objectives.
· Pre-Construction Management: Oversee the pre-construction phase of projects, including project planning, estimating, scheduling, trade partner relationships, and resource allocation. Collaborate with customers, architects, engineers, and project stakeholders to define project objectives and ensure they are met.
· Team Collaboration & Innovation: Foster a collaborative and innovative work environment, promoting cross-functional cooperation and communication between teams. Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance operational efficiency, quality, and customer satisfaction.
· Risk Management: Identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies to ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget while maintaining safety standards.
Requirements:
· Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Architecture, Engineering, Business Administration, or related field (Master's degree preferred).
· Minimum of 10 years of experience in commercial construction including at least 5 years in a leadership position.
· Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
· Proficiency in relevant software and tools used in construction and project management (i.e. Procore, P6, Bluebeam, Viewpoint, & BIM 360)
