SUMMARY OF POSITION
Kinsley Materials is seeking multiple experienced Tri-Axle Drivers to join our growing team. The drivers will be responsible for hauling construction materials such as: sand, dirt, gravel, rocks and paving materials among other aggregates from one location to another. Previous experience driving a Tri-Axle is preferred by not required.
Successful candidates should possess a valid CDL Class A or B driver’s license, a willingness to learn and a positive attitude. TYPICAL RESPONSIBILITIES / ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Drives truck equipped with dump bed hauling loose construction materials from one location to another as instructed. Materials may include sand, dirt, gravel, rocks and paving materials among other aggregates
- Comply with all federal and state commercial driving rules and regulations
- Maintain driving log/records according to state and federal regulations
- Secure all loads according to state and federal regulations
- Complete pre-post trip vehicle inspection reports
- Clearly communicate with equipment operators and other truck drivers making sure materials are delivered according to the job specifications and timetables
- Ensure adherence to safe work practices and procedures
- Must spray surfaces of truck with protective compound to prevent adhering of certain materials
- Perform other related duties and responsibilities as required
REQUIREMENTS
- Commercial Driver’s License Class A or B
- Must have and maintain clean driving record (MVR)
- Ability to pass DOT pre-employment physical and drug/alcohol testing
- Understand and follow oral and written instructions
- Establish and maintain effective working relationships with fellow employees and those contacted in the course of work
- Must have reliable transportation to get to dispatch office
- Must be reliable to get to work on time
- Required dress includes safety toed shoes, PPE, shirt with minimum 3" sleeves, long pants
