Quality Assurance Incoming Inspector
Job description:
Perform mechanical quality inspections on incoming materials to ensure that no non-conforming or rejected product gets introduce to our production lines. Focused on providing the highest quality kiosk products and enclosures to our customers.
Responsibilities:

Interpret CAD drawings and instructions to ensure materials meet quality and engineering requirements.

Approves incoming materials by confirming specifications; conducting visual and dimensional measurements; rejecting and returning unacceptable materials.

Performs complete layout inspection by measuring dimensions, such as length, height, and distance using micrometers and calipers to ensure product meets specifications.

Assist and/or train operators on visual part acceptability and measurement as required.

Documents inspection results by completing reports and logs; summarizing re-work and waste; inputting data into quality database.

Interacts with other departments to ensure compliance with specification and facilitate the acceptance of parts.

Monitor the use of measuring equipment to ensure they are well maintained and in calibration.

Suggest methods of improving product quality, design or manufacturing processes.

Responsible for daily control and document items as rejections, root cause failure and issues.

Maintains safe and healthy work environment by following standards and procedures; complying with legal regulations.

Accomplishes quality and organization mission by completing related results as needed.
Required Skills:

Ability to interpret CAD drawings.

Basic math and geometry/trigonometry
-
Working knowledge of MD Office

2 years of quality inspection job experience
-
High School Diploma or GED
-
Continually improve the overall inspection process on how to provide a higher quality product.

Identify and document daily inspection issues, root causes and report back to the quality manager.
-
Review production schedule to understand the demand for the daily and weekly shipping and production schedule.

Inspections of incoming materials to engineering requirements.
-
Perform the following ERP functions: receiving of packing lists from Fabrication, part/order movement transactions in the ERP systems, processing non-conforming product transactions is the ERP system, monitoring of ERP locations both physically and electronically for locations that the department is responsible for.
