Job Description
The Memory Care Activities Assistant is responsible for interaction with residents, presenting classes and instruction, coordinating events, and assisting with transportation as needed.
Must be available to work Weekends.
Schedule: 10:00AM-6:30PM
What will I do every day?
- You will assist the Memory Care Manager to present programs that meet the emotional, intellectual, social, spiritual, and vocational needs of the residents and staff
- Promote and monitor resident attendance and participation in all Wellness programs
- Teach and facilitate programs as appropriate
- Implement a variety of group and individual Wellness programs
- Work with volunteers and community groups as needed to implement various programs
- Assist in setting up/tearing down Wellness and community events as needed
- Assist with scheduling transportation as required
- Drive vehicles as necessary
- As well as perform other related duties as required
What will I need to be successful in this role?
- Be a progressive and creative thinker
- High school graduate
- One to two years experience in wellness programs (preferably in Senior Living).
- Background in different dimensions of wellness is beneficial
- Experience leading exercise classes and assisting with exercise equipment preferred
Special Requirements/Certifications I may need?
- Valid driver’s license and proof of good driving record
- First Aid Certification
