There is a full-time Retail Underwriter 1 position available at the Kish Innovation Center in Reedsville, PA, Mifflin County.
The Retail Underwriter is responsible for evaluating mortgage loan files and consumer applications to determine creditworthiness in accordance with established guidelines. This role requires a keen eye for detail and the ability to manage a fast-paced workload while maintaining accuracy and compliance. Success in this role requires strong analytical skills, adaptability to evolving policies and procedures, and the ability to work under tight deadlines.
A customer-focused approach is also essential, as the Underwriter interacts regularly with lenders and clients, providing timely and reliable service. By conducting thorough reviews and maintaining a sense of urgency, the Retail Underwriter plays a critical role in protecting both the bank and customers while ensuring a smooth loan process.
Qualifications
- Prior mortgage/ consumer loan experience required
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Excellent attention to detail with strong organizational skills
- Proficient with Office Suite products and the ability to operate standard office equipment
- Ability to multitask
