Position Summary:
As a Housekeeping Supervisor, you will be responsible for overseeing and coordinating the daily activities of the housekeeping team to ensure cleanliness, organization, and overall appearance of guest rooms and public areas. You will play a key role in maintaining operational excellence and ensuring that guests enjoy a clean and welcoming environment throughout their stay.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise, train, and motivate housekeeping staff, ensuring compliance with hotel policies and standards
- Inspect guest rooms, corridors, and public areas to ensure cleanliness and readiness
- Clean rooms as needed and assist with Laundry.
- Coordinate housekeeping schedules and assign daily duties to team members
- Monitor inventory levels of linens, cleaning supplies, and amenities; request replenishments as needed
- Ensure proper handling of lost and found items
- Address guest complaints or requests promptly and professionally
- Assist in onboarding and ongoing training of housekeeping staff
- Maintain safety and sanitation standards at all times
- Collaborate with front desk and maintenance departments to ensure smooth operations
- Report any maintenance issues or damages immediately for timely resolution
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; associate degree in hospitality a plus
- Minimum 2 years of housekeeping experience, with at least 1 year in a supervisory role preferred
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness
- Excellent communication and leadership skills
- Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays
- Working knowledge of housekeeping procedures and cleaning equipment
- Proficient in English; bilingual skills are a plus
- Physical stamina to stand, walk, bend, and lift during shifts
