Job Summary:
The Accounting Associate is responsible for managing and maintaining the company’s accounts receivable processes. This includes timely collections of outstanding balances, tracking payments, resolving discrepancies, and assisting in month end close.
Key Responsibilities:
- Monitor customer accounts for non-payment, delayed payment, and other irregularities.
- Follow up with customers via phone and email to collect outstanding payments.
- Apply customer payments to the appropriate invoices in the accounting system.
- Reconcile accounts and resolve payment discrepancies and customer billing issues.
- Analyze AR workflows and identify opportunities for automation, efficiency, and accuracy by utilizing existing and new technologies.
- Act as subject matter expert and partner with cross-functional teams (Finance, IT, Sales) to streamline order-to-cash processes.
- Maintain detailed records of customer communications and collection activities.
- Work with the sales and customer service teams to resolve billing and payment issues.
- Prepare regular aging reports and assist with month-end close activities.
- Comply with company policies and relevant accounting regulations.
Qualifications:
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (preferred).
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Knowledge of accounting principles and AR best practices.
Preferred Skills:
- Proficiency with accounting software (e.g., NetSuite, QuickBooks, SAP).
- Experience working with enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems.
- Familiarity with B2B collections processes.
- Intermediate Excel skills (pivot tables, v-lookups, etc.).

Salary : $50,000 - $65,000
