Job Overview:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Program Controls & Finance Billing Specialist to support the financial oversight of complex programs and projects. This role will be responsible for managing billing, tracking costs, and coordinating with project leaders to ensure the financial health of ongoing programs. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and experience working in a project-driven or program environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Billing and Invoicing: Manage the timely and accurate preparation of invoices based on project milestones, progress, and contractual agreements.
- Financial Reporting: Generate and analyze financial reports, including revenue recognition, cost reporting, and billing status, for internal stakeholders and external clients.
- Program Cost Management: Assist in managing the program cost, ensuring proper tracking of costs, and identifying discrepancies or risks in financial data.
- Contract Compliance: Ensure billing processes comply with contractual terms, agreements, and company policies.
- Forecasting and Budgeting: Support the development of financial forecasts and help project managers in tracking and reporting budget variances.
- Cost Control: Assist in maintaining a cost control system for ongoing programs, working closely with project managers to identify potential cost overruns or inefficiencies.
- Cross-Department Collaboration: Collaborate with project managers, finance teams, and accounting to provide up-to-date program financials.
- Project Support: Assist with the preparation of program budgets, monthly billing cycles, and tracking of milestones.
- Data Entry and Maintenance: Ensure accurate data entry in financial systems and databases, ensuring all relevant financial data is up-to-date and correct.
- Audit Preparation: Assist in preparing documentation for audits, supporting the finance team in providing necessary records and reports for external audits.
Skills & Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or related field (preferred).
- Experience: 2-4 years of experience in analytics, finance billing, or a similar financial management role, ideally in project-driven environment.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in financial management software (e.g., Vista, Microsoft Excel) and understanding of financial forecasting and reporting tools.
- Attention to Detail: Ability to work with complex data, ensuring accuracy in billing, invoicing, and reporting.
- Communication Skills: Strong written and verbal communication skills for coordinating with internal and external teams.
- Problem-Solving: Ability to analyze financial data, identify issues, and offer solutions to improve financial performance and billing processes.
- Time Management: Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with government contracts, construction or large-scale project programs.

Salary : $70,000 - $90,000
