Responsibilities

*** 36 or 40hr RN Supervisor - Eves/Nights Rotate ***

• Nursing House Supervisor.
• This position is responsible for the daily operations of the Patient Care Services departments, working collaboratively with the Admitting Office and overall hospital functions on off-shifts, weekends, and holidays. Interacts with nursing/patient Care Services staff and staff of other departments to facilitate patient care. Provides administrative and clinical support to the nursing staff primarily on off-shifts, weekends, and holidays in the absence of the Clinical Nursing Leadership.
• Salem Hospital is a 371 licensed bed medical facility that is a member of the Mass General Brigham consortium. We offer comprehensive medical and surgical services including inpatient Med/Surg Tele, Critical Care, ED, Pedi ED, Psych, Birthplace, & Special Care Nursery.
• Skills Required: Must be able to read Tele Strips, perform Cardiac Drips, titrate meds. Effective verbal and written communication skills. Excellent interpersonal skills necessary to deal effectively and courteously with a diverse group of people. Ability to quickly gain competency in various hospital software applications. Demonstrated leadership abilities; able to work under stressful situations; able to effectively work in a changing environment. Advanced clinical skills and demonstrates strong decision-making abilities.
• Experience Required: 3 years advanced Med/Surg Tele experience.
• Preferred: Critical care nursing experience. 3 years relevant healthcare experience required, including progressive leadership responsibilities.
• Education required: Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing.
• Preferred: Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing or equivalent.
• Licensure Required: Current Massachusetts RN license (in good standing).
• Certifications Required: Active MA RN License & BLS.

Job Type: Contract

Pay: $86.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week

Schedule:

• Evening shift
• Monday to Friday
• Weekends as needed
