Overview
Since 1982, KLH Engineers, Inc. has provided engineering services to over 400 municipal clients and we are currently performing work for over 50 Authorities and Municipalities. Our experience is varied and includes planning, design, operations, permitting, and construction administration of municipal facilities. Our firm’s personnel bring a unique blend of expertise thereby enhancing the creativeness, inventiveness, and practicality of our engineering services. The four owners of the firm are all professional engineers and control the day-to-day operation of the company. We currently employ 60 individuals that include a staff of about 25 engineers, a drafting department, and a full-time surveying crew headed by a registered Professional Land Surveyor. Fifteen of our engineers are registered Professional Engineers in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania with many holding registrations in other states throughout the Mid-Atlantic region.
The Computer Aided Drafting Designer role provides the opportunity to work in the variety of markets we serve. We are seeking self-motivated individuals with strong communication skills and a passion to gain professional experience and knowledge in a team environment. You should be a detail-oriented professional, understand the importance of meeting personal and team commitments and be flexible in adapting to a fast-paced environment with a technical associate degree or high school diploma and equivalent related experience.
Qualifications
- Knowledge of computer aided drafting software including Autodesk Civil 3D.
- Associates degree in Computer Aided Design and Drafting (CADD).
- 0-2 years’ experience with civil site, water & wastewater system facilities and piping design, utilities and other related projects.
- Focus on adherence to CAD standards and ability to complete design tasks at a high level with minimal assistance.
- Coordinate with lead engineer or designer to develop design drawings for the civil, mechanical, and structural disciplines.
- Evaluate and resolve problems by reviewing multiple sources of information and coordinating design criteria with other designers and engineers.
- Possess excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Familiar with using Microsoft Suite including MS Word, Outlook, and Excel.
- Ability to perform local field/site visits.
- Ability to draft clear, detailed technical drawings that meet project specifications.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills for effective collaboration within a team environment.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $55,000.00 - $65,000.00 per year
