Primary Responsibilities:
The Senior Accountant is responsible for ensuring compliance with financial transaction recording standards and control/reconciliation of accounts and records related to Financial Statements, Consolidations, related General Ledger reconciliations and the preparation of complex journal entries. This role is also responsible for accounting reports/schedules for internal audiences (management reporting) and/or for external audiences (compliance reporting) to meet deadlines for monthly, quarterly and annual reporting as well as work on ad hoc assignments as needed.
What You Bring to Us:
- Bachelor's degree in accounting
- 5 years of experience is required. Real Estate experience is a big plus.
- Knowledge of generally accepted accounting principals
- A strong attention to detail, ability to work well under pressure, work on multiple projects at one time and meet critical deadlines
- Strong analytical and reasoning skills
- Ability to build and maintain relationships with lender, investors auditors and property managers
- Ability to research problems and identify solutions
- Outstanding communication skills, both written and verbal
- High degree of responsibility and initiative
- Passion for quality and customer service
- Dependable, punctual, and reliable with a strong work ethic
- Proficiency in Word, Excel, Outlook and accounting systems
