What are the responsibilities and job description for the Baker position at Knead Love Bakery LLC?
We are looking for an experienced baker to join our team, we are based in Greenpoint, Brooklyn (one block from the G train station). Our current hours are Mon-Friday, 6am-2pm, with variation at holiday times.
We specialize in nutrient dense, vegan, wild fermented gluten-free breads, bagels, cookies, and seasonal treats. The ideal candidate should have 4 years experience working in a bakery/commercial kitchen, production baking is a plus.
The ideal candidate:
-4 years minimum experience in commercial kitchen/bakery
-Familiarity with high volume baking production a plus.
-Experience with commercial equipment such as large mixers, ovens, sheeter.
-Ability to weigh, mix and bake products based on recipes and kitchen standards
-Open to learning new techniques, such as vegan/gluten-free baking and wild fermentation
-Attention to detail and organized in your work
-Comfortable with working for 8 hours, standing, lifting up to 50#, repeated portioning
-Must be eligible to work in the U.S and must have a valid food handlers license
-Work well with others, good communication skills
-We speak both Spanish and English in the kitchen.
-We offer daily staff meals, and a positive kitchen culture.
Hourly rate starts at 25$ and depending on experience can be higher.
