Analyst, Inventory Control
About The Role
This position will support inventory for multiple brands to ensure the stock ledger is accurate and correctly represented in the general ledger. Analysis of inventory related discrepancies reported at store level as well as distribution center and processing needed inventory adjustments will be required. Setting up the cycle count for physical inventory in the SAP and/or RMS system; researching the discrepancies, between the count and the system snapshot, and correcting as warranted; apply the physical inventory results in SAP and/or RMS and issue inventory results to the Brands. Partner closely with the Distribution center and IT departments to resolve any system inventory related issues. Responsible for month end close journal entries related to inventory and the related monthly Balance Sheet reconciliations. This person will work with internal and external auditors to ensure accurate processes and reporting.

About The Role

The impact you can have
- Month end close, journal entries, and reconciliations. Support for internal audit, external audit and annual bank audit. SOX controls.
- Physical Inventory, to include prep, set up, reconciliation, analysis, posting results and reporting.
- Daily support for stores, brands, IT and SSG
- Weekly Stock Ledger reporting to the brands as well as follow up
- Ad hoc items, meeting attendance
- Four-year degree in Accounting or Finance preferred.
- Ability to complete analysis of large amounts of data to research issues and improve inventory accuracy.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills; strong attention to detail. Ability to interact expeditiously with customers of all levels and in multiple locations.
- Retail Inventory Control Experience preferred.
- Technical knowledge of various systems and tools (MS Outlook, Word, Excel is required). SAP and RMS experience preferred
