Overview – Role is a unique blend of I/A with process improvements/projects, M&A integration, implementing financial policies, technical accounting support, and PMO leader.
The Internal Audit Manager is responsible for planning, executing and reporting on operational, financial, regulatory and compliance related audits/reviews. Additionally, the individual will assist with process improvements/projects, M&A integration, implementing financial policies, and technical accounting support. Person hired will move the needle; they will be involved in day-to-day finance/operations and will assist in actually implementing improvements in finance/controls rather than simply identifying issues.
Responsibilities:
• Report directly to Audit Committee Chairman
• Present internal audit reports and findings to the Audit Committee and Executive Management routinely throughout the year
• Plan global annual risk assessments and audit plans, including the performance of audit fieldwork, reporting of findings, and communication to Management & the Audit Committee
• Implement improvements in finance/controls based upon audit findings
• Assist departments with drafting and updating accounting policies/procedures in accordance with US GAAP
• Facilitate the drafting of narratives and flowcharts of critical business processes and identifying key controls around those processes, in accordance with Sarbanes Oxley (SOX) requirements
• Assist with M&A integration planning and execution
• Lead process improvement efforts for core business processes such as finance, supply chain and sales
