Role Overview
This Associate Attorney will manage a litigation docket from inception through resolution, working directly with clients, carriers, and trial attorneys on strategy, discovery, and courtroom advocacy.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage an active docket of approximately 30 litigation matters
- Review new assignments and develop case strategy from the outset
- Draft pleadings, motions, and written discovery
- Take and defend depositions of parties, fact witnesses, and experts
- Maintain consistent communication with clients and insurance adjusters
- Handle mediations, hearings, court appearances, and trial preparation
- Collaborate with paralegals, clerks, and fellow attorneys to move cases efficiently
- Conduct legal research and apply findings strategically to case development
Qualifications
- Juris Doctor from an accredited law school
- 2 years of civil litigation experience
- Active Texas Bar license in good standing
- Experience in insurance defense or personal injury litigation preferred
- Strong writing, organizational, and analytical skills
- Confident, reliable communicator with client-facing professionalism
