The Junior Controller will be responsible for assisting in all aspects of the accounting and finance function including cash management, budgeting and forecasting, accounts receivable, accounts payable, and payroll. The Assistant Controller will also assist in any ad/hoc financial projects as needed.

Duties and Responsibilities
Primary
- Cash Management
- Enter cash activity on a daily or weekly basis
- Complete multiple bank reconciliations on a monthly basis
- Accounts Receivable
- Reconciliation of A/R
- Processing of client invoicing
- Review and submit invoices to external third-party client platforms
- Payroll
- Process bi-weekly payroll for the company
- Process expense report reimbursements
- Complete labor related journal entries
- New employee onboarding
- Assist with payroll system conversion project
- Accounting
- Month-end close duties including:
- Cash, A/R, labor related account reconciliation
- Credit card account reconciliation
- Provide month-end reconciliation reporting to Controller and CFO on various balance sheet accounts
- Provide project-related support and services as needed
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field
- 4 years of finance and accounting experience
- Thorough knowledge of US GAAP
- Experience in US government contracting preferred
- Experience using an ERP system such as Unanet or Costpoint preferred
- Superb mathematical skills
- Proficient or better in Microsoft Excel
- Ability to adapt and learn, create, and implement new processes and systems
- Excellent problem-solving capabilities
- Superior verbal and written communication skills
- Strong attention to detail
- Ability to work independently in remote environment with little direct supervision
- Eligible to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance – U.S. Citizenship required.
- Should be willing to work in a variety of settings as needed. Flexible to work long hours as required.
- Employees may be called upon to participate in in-person meetings, trainings, or company functions at Knowmadics offices or other designated locations. Travel in support of business operations may also be required, and employees are expected to comply with these obligations as part of their position.
