Business Systems Analyst

Mission

The Business Systems Analyst is responsible for building technological solutions by analyzing business requirements, designing system improvements, and implementing innovative tools to optimize operations. This role plays a critical part in ensuring seamless business processes by developing, maintaining, and enhancing our ERP systems, database engines, and reporting infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to ERP systems, databases, reporting, and other core business applications.
• Develop and maintain business intelligence dashboards and reporting infrastructure.
• Conduct regular performance audits of business applications.
• Recommend and implement enhancements to optimize software utility and system performance.
• Develop and enforce policies and procedures for software use, system support, security, and backups.
• Plan and coordinate testing, upgrades, and implementation of new systems or system changes.
• Maintain comprehensive documentation including configurations, user manuals, and application layouts.
• Track and report the status of projects and tasks.
• Lead or support training sessions for IT staff and end-users.
• Stay current with emerging technologies and best practices in business applications through ongoing research and learning.
  
  

Required Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

• Proficiency in SQL query development, SQL Reporting Services, and data warehousing.
• Experience with C# or similar object-oriented programming languages.
• Strong understanding of business application workflows and complex system interactions.
• Excellent analytical and programming skills.
• Familiarity with business processes, KPIs, and strategic metrics.
• Strong multitasking and prioritization abilities with attention to detail.
• Effective communication and training skills for both technical and non-technical users.
• Ability to provide exceptional customer service and work collaboratively across teams.
  
  

Education & Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Information Systems, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related field (or equivalent work experience).
• 3–5 years of experience in designing, deploying, and maintaining business applications and database systems.
• Hands-on experience with process automation and technology optimization.
• Proven track record of solving complex IT challenges in professional settings.
• Ongoing learning and familiarity with current trends in application development and reporting.
  
  

Physical Requirements

• Ability to carry equipment (up to 70 pounds) as needed throughout the organization.
• Comfortable working in tight or confined spaces during hardware installation.
• Able to travel between floors or office locations within the company.
