What are the responsibilities and job description for the Supply Chain Analyst position at Koch Foods?
- Create and maintain purchase orders in Canopy system
- Verify receipt and delivery of orders with suppliers and third party logistic partners
- Follow-up with suppliers regarding PO status, resolving any issues
- Build trucks to maximize capacity, reducing freight cost per pound
- Analyze specs for finished goods to understand bill of materials and production setups
- Gather and analyze material usage data, maintaining Supply Chain Material Usages Standards worksheet
- Communicate with vendors on a daily basis confirming orders and pickup dates
- Communicate with freight companies, ensuring on-time delivery of materials
- Build trucks daily, ensuring correct material transport from offsite warehouse
- Analyze warehouse (on-site and off-site) capacity, transferring materials between them to optimize storage space
- Plan and react quickly to production schedule changes, and other unforeseen issues
- Analyze materials, checking age of material; if discontinued proceed with best disposition
- Enter order pricing, and update system as changes occur
- Work closely with R&D, following through with new projects and rollouts
- All other relevant duties as assigned
Job Requirements:
- Associate or Bachelor degree in Supply Chain, Business Administration, or other closely related field
- Student of Associate or Bachelor degree in Supply Chain, Business Administration, or closely related field
- Minimum 3 years work experience in supply chain, production, or material management
- Knowledge of raw materials, production processes, quality control, costs, and other techniques for maximizing effective manufacture and distribution of goods
- Understanding components of dry ingredients and breading systems (marinades, seasonings, starches, phosphates, breading, batter, predust, sauces)
- Understanding the value of delivery of items and ensuring involvement in entirety of process to avoid production downtime
- Knowledgeable on Microsoft office, particularly Excel
- English Language: knowledge of structure and content of English language to effectively and properly communicate
- Mathematics and basic statistics knowledge
- Dependable, reliable, responsible, and earnestness to fulfill obligations
- Attention to detail in completing work tasks
- Cooperative, pleasantness with others on the job, and good-natured, cooperative attitude
- Adaptability and willingness to work in a fast paced environment and adapt to changing workload

Typical office environment within a warehouse setting:
- Use of computer, telephone and other office equipment
- May encounter frequent interruptions throughout the work day

- Exposure to noise levels greater than 85 decibels
- Exposure to strong, raw meat odor
