Process Controls Technician 

We are currently recruiting for a NEW Process Controls Technician. This position will work closely with Process Control Engineers, Manufacturing Engineers, Advanced Technicians, Reliability Technicians, Technicians, and various team members in the mill.

What You Will Do In Your Role

· Supporting operations mainly in the converting areas and throughout the mill as needed, through process control systems application and general process troubleshooting

· Assisting with design, implementation, continuous improvement, and sustainability support for existing and new process control systems applications

· Providing automation installation and troubleshooting support for maintenance and capital projects

· Assisting with root cause analysis investigations on major systems or process interruptions

· Providing technical support as directed to other departments

· Assisting with operations, Electrical & Instrumentation, and departmental training

· Being available for after hour calls for Converting Process Control

· Communicating and working with various operational, environmental, maintenance, and engineering personnel in a team environment while also being self-motivated to accomplish individual goals

· Developing process control modifications that lead to improvements in safety and efficiency, while reducing costs

· Identifying asset improvement opportunities that will strengthen Georgia-Pacific’s competitive advantage

· Providing feedback/input on equipment conditions, potential failure risks, corrections and additions to systems

· Demonstrating a level of performance which meets maintenance/shutdown requirements and standard expectations

· Performing all administrative tasks as required

The Experience You Will Bring

Requirements:

· High speed automation related work experience equivalent to a minimum of 7 years

· PLC Programming experience (Rockwell PLC5, RSLogix 5000)

· HMI Programming experience (Rockwell applications)

· Experience with network technology

· Experience with motion control and servo based technology

· Experience with Variable Frequency Drives

· Experience with robotic and packaging equipment

What Will Put You Ahead

· Experience with Rockwell RS-View application development

· Experience with Fanuc Robots

· Experience with Device Net, Ethernet, Controlnet, Data Highway
