Koki is a personal chef subscription service for weekly meal prep needs. We offer families a weekly solution to the stress of meal planning, shopping and cooking.
Instead they subscribe to Koki and our team of awesome chefs arrive to prepare meals for the week families throughout South Florida.
We are a leader in the market for personal chef services and we are always growing. We partner with the best local personal chefs who are experienced in residential cooking and have the skills to cook cuisines from around the world.
We are seeking culinary professionals who are passionate about creating delicious memorable meals, engaging directly with customers, and are looking for weekly stable income.
This position requires traveling throughout Dade, Broward, and Palm Beach counties to customer's homes.
The ideal candidate is reliable, has stable transportation, has residential culinary experience and is extremely comfortable cooking in residential kitchens and providing quality service to customers.
Qualifications:
- Residential Cooking Experience 3-5 years of experience
- Restaurant Experience 5-7 years of experience
- Experienced In All Cuisines, including but not limited to Thai, Indian, Italian, Spanish, Mexican, Mediterranean, African Diaspora, Caribbean, Chinese.
- Clear Communicator - Ability to converse over the phone, via text, and in person with the Koki team. Must be responsive.
- Must reside in South Florida - Miami Dade, Broward, Palm Beach Counties. Seasonal workers are welcomed.
- Must enjoy cooking various types of food, cooking for clients, learning new cooking techniques and exploring new flavor profiles.
- Must enjoy engaging with customers in person. This includes but is not limited to discussing their menu, answering food related or Koki related questions, and general small talk during a booking.
Requirements:
- English fluency (Spanish and Portuguese a plus)
- Residential Cooking Experience 3-4 years of experience
- 2-3 years experience cooking vegetarian, vegan, keto, paleo, low calorie
- Able to clear criminal background check upon hire
- Advanced knife skills, including butchering protein
- Portioning Skills - ability to scale food to match desired portion size
- Plating Skills - ability to plate meals aesthetically, taking into account space, colors, and positioning.
- Must have a reliable vehicle
- Must have reliable cell phone with ability to text and download applications
