We provide our customers with facility design and construction services which includes; sales and service for irrigation; grain handling; manure handling; and constructing high tech manure separation systems nationwide. In addition, we handle a broad line of manure handling, feed handling, & skid steer equipment. Komro Sales is constantly developing manpower to support, with innovation, our growing customer base.

Komro Sales & Service, Inc. is seeking out a lead mechanic to perform accurate and thorough service, repairs, and maintenance on company trucks, trailers, and other equipment as needed.

Roles & Responsibilities:

• Supervise shop by assigning tasks, verifying completed work, and assisting with repairs. Including training the technicians and disciplinary actions as needed.
• Interview and hire new technicians as needed. Conduct yearly performance evaluations.
• Maintain a preventative maintenance schedule for all company trucks, trailers, and other equipment as needed.
• Interpret diagnostic test results accurately.
• Perform annual DOT maintenance inspections.
• Experience/knowledge of electrical systems, diesel and gas engines, drivability, diagnostics, wiring schematics, and small engines.
• Document parts and time spent on each work order.
• Prepare new and used trucks and trailers for delivery.
• Display a sense of urgency, professionalism, and maintain an ownership mentality while performing required service for internal and external customers.
• Maintain a safe work environment.
• Maintain an orderly and clean work environment (shop floors, tools, job space, etc.).
• Maintain constant communication with co-workers and the general manager regarding weekly tasks and completion status. And attend bi-weekly managers’ meetings.

Qualifications:

• Proven experience as an auto mechanic; supervisory or lead technician experience preferred.
• Valid driver’s license with a safe driving record
• CDL or ability to obtain one.
• Good time management and problem-solving skills
• Enforce safety regulations and protocols
• Strong leadership abilities.
• Must have their own tools or ability to obtain their own tools.
• Technical certification or degree preferred but not required
• Experience/knowledge of electrical systems, diesel and gas engines, drivability, diagnostics, wiring schematics, and small engines.

• Must be comfortable with working in awkward positions or cramped spaces.

• Attention to detail and highly organized.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills
• Capability to interpret a variety of instructions in written, oral, diagram or schedule form
