Role Overview
We are seeking a seasoned Construction Manager to lead the ground-up expansion of our industrial campus in Bloomfield, NM. This role is responsible for ensuring new buildings and facilities are delivered safely, on time, within budget, and to technical specifications.
The Construction Manager will serve as the bridge between architectural/engineering design and operational reality, coordinating contractors, internal teams, and project resources to maintain seamless workflow during expansion.
Key Responsibilities
Project Oversight
- Manage all phases of construction, from site clearing and foundations to MEP (Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing) installation and final commissioning.
- Ensure construction work meets technical specifications, codes, and quality standards.
Contractor & Vendor Management
- Serve as primary point of contact for general contractors, subcontractors, and vendors.
- Enforce timelines, work standards, and contractual obligations.
Safety Leadership
- Enforce strict OSHA compliance and internal safety protocols.
- Maintain a “Zero Incident” culture across all construction activities.
Budget & Schedule
- Monitor project costs and approve change orders.
- Track progress using project management software against critical milestones.
Cross-Functional Coordination
- Liaise with Plant Operations and Engineering to minimize disruptions to ongoing manufacturing.
- Identify potential risks and implement mitigation strategies.
Qualifications
- 7 years of construction management experience in industrial, manufacturing, or heavy civil construction
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field preferred
- Strong knowledge of industrial building codes, structural steel erection, and reinforced concrete foundations
- Proven ability to manage budgets, schedules, and multi-contractor teams
- Exceptional negotiation, communication, and problem-solving skills
- Comfortable managing high-stakes projects in an operational industrial environment
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $80,000.00 - $180,000.00 per year
