Korn Ferry has partnered with our client on their search for the role, Director of Government Affairs.
The Director of Government Relations is a lead advocate for American Bakers Association (ABA) on a portfolio of food sector policy priorities. Additionally, the Director serves as a liaison with the ABA membership on policy activities and provides ABA with visibility in political and grassroots arenas. The Director works in collaboration with the Vice President in the management of ABA’s Government Relations budgeting and expense tracking. The Director must be highly organized, self-motivated, and a collaborative team player.
Experience and Professional Qualifications
Required Education and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in political science, public policy, agribusiness, economics, journalism, business, or related field or equivalent experience is required.
- Related Master’s degree is desirable.
- 5-6 years’ relevant congressional, association, or corporate experience in public policy and/or public affairs.
- Experience working on food policy issues is strongly desired.
