A Kortman Electrical Service Technician is responsible for providing excellent client service. This role works within the Core Values of the organization and maintains a professional mindset at all times. The safety culture demands that everyone goes home safe, with no exceptions. Top-level (Journeyman) trade skills, technical aptitude, and the ability to develop a thorough plan-of-action are required. Troubleshooting skills and the ability to overcome unexpected obstacles are a regular part of the job. Additional experience and/or certifications in electrical controls, solar operations and maintenance, medium-voltage, conveyors, automation, or low voltage (fire-alarm, fiber optics, security, communications, data, etc) is a plus.
We utilize digital formats and technology for scheduling, dispatching, reporting, and billing our work. This position requires a willingness to learn and operate apps and programs via smartphones, tablets, and laptop computers. The role may involve supervising one or more individuals, trade groups, or sub-contractors (Fire alarm, Low Voltage, etc).
The position requires the safe operation of a company motor vehicle. A Motor Vehicle record, criminal history, and drug screen will be performed. Kortman is an equal opportunity employer.
