What are the responsibilities and job description for the Shift Leader position at KOSTAL Group?
Assembly activities
- Assign and manage operators on the shift.
- Hold accountable for shift production performance.
- Check if all necessary resources are available at the machine.
- Set-up assembly machines.
- Start up and release of processes.
- Working on fully automated machines.
- Monitor the quality on the machine.
- Inspection of parts (SPC checks, Process release and product release).
- Machine and jig maintenance according to the schedule.
Knowledge Development
- Receiving production orders from the supervisor and produce requested volume.
- Reporting to the production supervisor results of the output/shift.
- Train operators and complex operators.
- Understanding of suspect parts process/blocked material.
- Knowledge of measuring equipment, techniques and releasing parts.
- Knowledge of Statistical Process Control SPC Checks.
- Knowledge of KOSTAL manufactured parts and production operating procedures (connectors, pin housing, sleeve and harness connectors).
- Ability to manage operators.
