Associate Production Scheduler

Job Description:

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

• Enters new orders and maintains the production schedule via the MRP system.
• Assists with updating the product line report for the revised sales forecast.
• Assists with generating monthly schedules to meet customer order deliveries.
• Effectively communicates the schedule and exceptions to the factory and management.
• Releases manufacturing work orders daily via MRP to configure shop floor and stockroom distribution.
• Works closely with procurement – production planning – engineering – manufacturing to ensure functional department deliverables support the schedule.
• Provides feedback/solutions to management where inadequate dates support the schedule.
• May participate in Process Improvement Teams (PIT) and may recommend continuous improvements.

Required Experience:

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES REQUIRED:

• Ability to maintain sensitive and confidential information as required by government standards
• Ability to interact effectively with peers and supervisors
• Ability to interact appropriately with the public when necessary
• Ability to adhere to workplace rules

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

• BS/BA degree desired but not required
• 3-5 years of relevant work experience
• Microsoft Office Suite (including Project)
• Experience with MRP/ERP System Knowledge

WORK ENVIRONMENT / PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

• Office environment
• Ability to stand and sit for long periods of time
• Ability to perform repetitive motion (keyboarding, 10-key, phones)
• Ability to lift up to 10 pounds
