Kripalu Shop Coordinator
POSITION SUMMARY
The Kripalu Shop Coordinator is responsible for supporting the Shop Manager in various administrative tasks, while also supporting the sales floor during busy and/or short-staffed periods. They perform administrative tasks such as answering emails and phones, creating the department schedule, and other clerical duties. This role requires flexibility and the willingness to pivot when needed.
The ideal candidate will have strong organizational skills, the ability to multitask, and a passion for customer service in a wellness-focused retail environment.

ACCOUNTABILITIES / RESPONSIBILITIES

Monitor Kripalu Shop Email inbox for HubSpot Forms; answer emails and inquiries in a timely manner

Assists the Shop Manager with daily administrative tasks, including scheduling, inventory tracking, vendor communicating and financial reporting

Supports in preparing sales and inventory reports, reviewing data for accuracy and identifying trends

Assist in organizing and scheduling meetings; participate as needed and take meeting notes

Create and post weekly staff schedule and work closely with the Shop Manager to ensure all staff availability and time off requests are addressed. Coordinate staffing in response to call outs.

Coordinates book signings and trunk shows.

Ensure signage throughout the shop and cafe is updated.

Multitasks by supporting the associate team on the sales floor; provides coverage for the registers and floors as needed

Ensure the sales floor is clean, well-organized, and fully stocked with products

Assists in training staff with the registers and products

Has an active working knowledge of the department operations and products the Shop carries

Work closely with the shop team to create a supportive and positive work environment

Other duties may be assigned.

ESSENTIAL SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

Minimum of 1 year of experience in retail.

Minimum of 1 year of relative administrative experience.

High School Diploma or equivalent.

Ability to multi-task.

Ability to pivot to different tasks, as needed.

Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office business tools, including Outlook, Word, and Excel.

Team driven and willing to prioritize the best interests of the Shop.

Neatness, punctuality, and excellent communication skills are essential.

Availability to work nights and weekends.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

Ability to stand and walk for extended periods of time, up to 6 hours.

Ability to lift up to 25 lbs. on a frequent basis.

Ability to bend, stoop, reach, crouch, walk, kneel, push, pull and twist repeatedly.
