Position Summary
We are seeking an experienced Welding Supervisor to lead our welding production team. This role oversees daily welding operations, ensures quality standards are met, supports production schedules, and maintains a safe working environment. The Weld Supervisor will supervise weld technicians, provide hands-on technical guidance, and work closely with Design/Engineering and Production leadership to deliver high-quality products on time.
This is a leadership role that blends technical expertise with team supervision and operational coordination.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise and coach weld technicians to meet quality and productivity standards
- Monitor welding quality and correct issues through hands-on guidance and training
- Review blueprints, CAD drawings, and technical specifications to guide fabrication processes
- Communicate with Design/Engineering on design issues and production improvements
- Coordinate work schedules and production priorities to meet deadlines
- Enforce safety standards and ensure proper use of protective equipment
- Report incidents, injuries, and property damage and support follow-up documentation
- Order welding consumables and coordinate with purchasing and vendors
- Participate in company meetings, training, and special projects
Qualifications
Experience & Skills
- Minimum of 3 years of aluminum welding experience with demonstrated high-quality work
- Prior supervisory or team-lead experience in a manufacturing or construction environment preferred
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, specifications, and CAD drawings
- Advanced knowledge of welding equipment, fabrication tools, and quality control practices
- Strong understanding of workplace safety standards and best practices
- Strong leadership and communication skills
- Ability to manage deadlines and production priorities
- Problem-solving and decision-making ability in fast-paced environments
- Professional and respectful approach to team leadership
Work Environment & Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand, bend, and perform repetitive motions for extended periods
- Ability to lift and move at least 40 pounds
- Work in indoor and outdoor environments with exposure to noise, welding flashes, and industrial equipment
- Frequent interpersonal interaction with production teams and cross-functional partners
- Position may require occasional travel
- Valid driver’s license and reliable personal vehicle required
Pay: $75,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year
