Founded in 2008, KSR Pet Care, LLC has been a go-to, well-respected, bonded and insured professional dog walking and pet sitting company with its main HUB in McLean and Tyson's Corner. We are always searching for more pet lovers to join our 25 team. We have excellent references and reviews, are BBB accreditted and are currently working with 600 active clients. Our 3-person office staff is available to assist when you are out on the job and manages all bookings and client profiles. You get training on the job and by following a CPR & pet first aid course.
Vacancies
* McLean Midday dog walker you can make a steady weekly income! For the position of midday dog walker you need to be available 10:00 AM-3:00 PM preferably Monday-Friday. Additional time frames, weekends and holidays are a plus.
* Part time Cat sitter: You visit a client home once or twice a day, morning, afternoon or evening. These jobs are available when clients travel.
* Part time Dog sitter: You visit a client home for breakfast 6-9 am, midday 11-2, dinner 4-6pm, late night 8-10 pm or stay overnight. These jobs are available when clients travel.
Responsibilities
You must own an insured car and smartphone, be highly motivated to work as part of a team and communicate with our main office by email and our Time To Pet app on a daily basis in a prompt and professional manner. You must download and use our free app when doing a client visit and switch on your location services. You must make yourself available to join client consultations and whenever possible support your colleagues by taking on back-up pet sits or dog walks. You must be well-organized, keep track of your supplies and keys and be attentive to the security and safety of the client's pets and homes.
Qualifications and Skills.
You need basic knowledge of dog/cat care, be punctual and flexible, dependable, and for dog walking, be ready to work outdoors rain or shine. You have your own insured car, personal cell phone and be on email/cell daily. You must pass a criminal background check, 2 interviews (one phone, one virtual or in person) with our management team and pass a professional reference check.
You need to demonstrate that you are motivated to work with animals. You need to be eager to learn more about cats or dogs/puppies and have owned and cared for dogs/cats in your past. You need to be able to commit to this job for 1 year minimum.

· Eligible for a raise after 3 months. Then after 6 months and last, annually for each work anniversary.
· Annual bonus just before the Holidays on the basis of your annual earnings
· Work remotely and from home, generally within 5-8 miles from your home. This depends on the clients you choose to take on and your home location.
· Casual dress
· Employee status means you do not pay self-employment tax. If you work as subcontractor, sole proprietor or independent contractor you would pay 2x the tax
· Earn 100% of tips. This is a service job, so tips are encouraged and promoted

Training.
Before starting service for a client, you are introduced to the home and pets and at times also to the clients. You always get an initial orientation training (30 min company video) and shadow meetings at client homes to which you come prepared with questions. Our sitters also get CPR & Pet First Aid training which is reimbursed after six months of loyal service. More individual training is possible upon request.
Wages.
Pay is based per visit. Avg. $19/hour as a starter rate. Raises may be given after 3 months, 6 months, a year, and then annually. We also offer bonuses on the basis of performance and annually before the Holidays. This is an employee position (W2), so employer costs and taxes are taken care of by KSR Pet Care. (no 1099 or subcontractor positions available)
