We’re seeking a talented Writer with a strong visual and editorial sensibility—ideally with a
background in healthcare or medical journalism—to help shape the voice and visual tone of our
quarterly issues. This role requires someone who can ideate, write, and work closely with the
design team to ensure cohesion between copy and visuals.

Position Overview
We’re seeking a talented Writer with a strong visual and editorial sensibility—ideally with a
background in healthcare or medical journalism—to help shape the voice and visual tone of our
quarterly issues. This role requires someone who can ideate, write, and work closely with the
design team to ensure cohesion between copy and visuals.
- Part-time role (10–15 hours/week on average; may vary depending on production cycle)
- Collaborate with client and creative teams to plan and structure each issue’s narrative
- Write original features, captions, headlines, sidebars, and contributor bios with clarity
- Contribute to or review image selection and layout alongside the creative director
- Translate complex medical topics into accessible, engaging stories for a general
- Attend planning meetings and adhere to editorial deadlines
- Proven experience writing for editorial publications, preferably in healthcare, wellness, or
- Ability to translate medical or scientific content into clear, reader-friendly language
- Strong visual literacy and ability to collaborate with designers on editorial layout
- Excellent research, interviewing, and fact-checking skills
- Working knowledge of InDesign, Adobe Acrobat, or similar tools a plus
- Bachelor’s degree in Journalism, English, Communications, Public Health, or a related
- 3–5 years of professional writing experience, preferably in publishing, media, or
- Experience with editorial planning or working in an art copy integrated environment
- Familiarity with healthcare topics, wellness trends, and/or medical writing is highly
- Experience working with designers or contributing to page layout (e.g., using InDesign,
