Fort Leonard Wood is a United States Army installation located in the Missouri Ozarks. We are seeking an experienced Emergency Medicine Physician to join our team.

Job Requirements

• Be capable of performing the full range of emergency medicine services, including diagnosing and treating diseases and injuries.
• Perform medical procedures such as incision and drainage, nail trephination, sling or swath of injuries, bandage, reduce dislocations and fractures, stabilize and evaluate cervical spine injuries, lumbar puncture, pericardiocentesis, removal of foreign bodies, deliver newborns, perform venous punctures, draw arterial blood gases, suture or staple lacerations, remove sutures, tube thoracostomy, open thoracotomy, secure airway, splint and stabilize traumatic injuries, administer injections, prescribe and administer medications, secure intravenous access, diagnostic peritoneal lavage, bladder catheterization, NG/OG tubes, local anesthesia, restraints, procedural sedation, and selected screening ultrasound exams.
• Coordinate with transfer facilities, request consults, complete paperwork, obtain patient history, physical assessment, and plan, develop treatment plans, utilize paraprofessional staff, respond to cardiopulmonary arrest, interpret electrocardiograms, laboratory tests, imaging studies, direct medical care, provide discharge instructions, examine patients, render medical assessments, take action, provide immediate evaluation and management, provide definitive medical care, follow-up abnormal lab and/or imaging study reports, review reports, respond to Code Blue alerts, pronounce patients dead, notify next-of-kin, prepare patient profile changes, document treatment provided, dispatch ambulances, accompany emergency services technicians, and perform emergency room procedures.

Salary : $160,000 - $320,000
