What are the responsibilities and job description for the Manufacturing Accountant position at KURZ Transfer Product?
- Plan and follow up on investment projects and actual purchases.
- Assign asset numbers as requested and maintain comprehensive asset files.
- Reconcile and capitalize assets upon project completion.
- Participate in the annual budgeting process, including purchasing and asset management.
- Handle annual property tax filings.
- Set up and maintain ROU leased assets using the SAP Fixed Asset system.
- Analyze actual expenses against budgeted amounts and produce detailed reports for distribution to managers. Additional expense analyses as needed.
- Understand and manage balance sheets and profit & loss statements.
- Prepare and file quarterly tax returns, including OH CAT tax, CA sales tax, and other required filings.
- Complete government surveys as necessary.
- Prepare and post journal entries.
- Manage document filing in OTRIS.
- Serve as a back-up for AR cash posting.
- Perform other duties as required.

Experience and Education
- Bachelor's degree in accounting, Finance or a related field
- 3-5 years of experience in the Accounting Dept. of a Manufacturing company
- Knowledge of GAAP accounting standards, knowledge of IFRS accounting standards
- SAP Experience (FI, CO, and COPA modules) as well as MS Excel and BW Reporting
