As a Product Marketing Specialist, you’ll collaborate closely with product, sales, and marketing teams to develop and execute marketing strategies that drive awareness, adoption, and engagement of our life insurance and annuity products. Your role will involve translating product features into benefits, creating compelling messaging, and equipping our sales teams with effective tools and materials. This position requires a strategic mindset, creativity, and the ability to communicate complex information in a clear, customer-centric way.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Develop and implement marketing strategies for life insurance and annuity products that align with business goals and target customer needs.
- Collaborate with product management to understand product features, benefits, and competitive positioning.
- Craft compelling product messaging and positioning that differentiates our offerings in the market.
- Create, maintain, and update product collateral, sales tools, presentations, and other materials to support sales and client-facing teams.
- Conduct competitive analysis and stay current on industry trends to inform product positioning and marketing strategies.
- Partner with the digital marketing team to plan and execute campaigns, including content creation, social media, email, and webinars.
- Coordinate training sessions for sales teams on new products, value propositions, and key differentiators.
- Analyze campaign performance and metrics to evaluate effectiveness and optimize marketing strategies.
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, Communications, or related field.
- 3 years of experience in product marketing, preferably in the financial services or insurance industry.
- Strong understanding of life insurance and annuities products, with the ability to translate complex concepts into clear, customer-focused messaging.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency in digital marketing and analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics, HubSpot, or similar).
- Strong project management skills, with the ability to handle multiple projects and deadlines.
- Collaborative and proactive, with a strategic and creative mindset.
- Normal office working environment.
- Occasional evening and weekend hours to meet deadlines.
- Ability to sit for extended periods of time.
- Ability to type / perform data entry.
- Ability to read from a computer screen and paper reports.
