Pay Range: $63,039.34 to $84,065.50
Actual pay will be based on various factors, such as a candidate’s qualifications, skills, competencies, proficiency for the role, and internal equity. In addition to base pay, Kwik Trip gives 40% of pre-tax profits back to our coworkers with bonuses ranging from 8-12% of each coworker’s gross annual wage depending on company profitability and offers a comprehensive benefits package, including health insurance, 401k, paid time off, and more.
Join our Risk Management team as a Claims Adjustment Analyst 3, where you’ll play a key role in investigating and resolving General Liability claims (excluding guest injury claims) up to $50,000. You’ll collaborate with Retail and Production teams to evaluate product complaints, authorize settlements, and ensure our standards are upheld across all touchpoints.
This position also involves training and mentoring Risk Management coworkers, working with defense counsel on litigation files, and maintaining confidentiality of sensitive claims information.
Responsibilities
- Investigate and resolve General Liability claims including fuel issues, car wash, vehicle damage, food illness, and product concerns.
- Review police reports, medical records, and damage estimates to determine liability.
- Negotiate settlements and coordinate with stores for guest injury claim documentation.
- Approve denial recommendations and authorize settlements and reserves for Kwik Trip insurance.
- Communicate with KT Production, Food Safety, and suppliers regarding product concerns.
- Train and provide direction to Risk Management coworkers.
- Assist defense counsel with litigation files and represent the company in depositions.
Qualifications
- Education: Associate Degree in Finance or Risk Management preferred.
- Experience: 4–6 years in insurance claims handling or customer service.
- Knowledge & Skills:
- Strong understanding of the insurance industry.
- Excellent decision-making, organizational, and analytical skills.
- Effective communication and telephone etiquette.
- Typing speed of at least 50 WPM.
- Ability to multitask and manage high-stress situations independently.
Work Schedule: Monday – Friday; daytime hours. Must reside in the La Crosse, WI or Deforest, WI area
