Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site role for an Operations & Purchasing Coordinator based in Ankeny, IA. The role involves managing purchasing processes, creating and tracking purchase orders, ensuring timely procurement of materials, and maintaining inventory levels to meet the operational needs of the company. The coordinator will liaise with vendors, analyze pricing and supply chain options, and contribute to streamlining procurement operations while maintaining cost efficiency.
Qualifications
- Strong understanding of Purchasing Processes, Purchase Orders, and general Purchasing practices.
- Proficiency in Procurement and familiar with supplier relationship management.
- Analytical skills to evaluate vendor options, pricing, and inventory needs effectively.
- Attention to detail and organizational skills are required to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills to build and maintain relationships with suppliers.
- Proficiency in inventory management systems and related tools is an asset.
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field such as Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related discipline preferred.
