What are the responsibilities and job description for the Stemilt Organic Recycling Center (SORC) Attendant position at Kyle Mathison Orchards?
Location: SORC
Reports to: Patrick Jordan, Operations Manager
Job Summary: The SORC attendant is responsible for daily operations of the SORC facility. This position requires you to work with the public and maintain good public relations. This job also requires basic math conversions, book-keeping and equipment operation.
Knowledge/ Skill Requirements:
· Bilingual: English/Spanish
· Customer service experience
· Knowledge of record keeping, basic mathematical conversion, handling money and reconciling reports/accounts
· Safe operation of equipment including tractor and loader
· Work independently
· Positive attitude and strong work ethic
· Basic math skills
· Good communication
· Quality customer service
· Ability to work across functional areas both in the field and in the office
· Computer Experience – Word, Excel and Outlook
Qualifications:
· Cash register/credit card machine experience
· Record keeping/book balancing
Certifications:
· Washington State Driver’s License
Responsibilities / Abilities:
· Physically fit to complete tasks
· Able to work shifting schedules & weekends
· Receive customers, assess load size and take payment
· Load compost into customer’s truck & trailers
· Move green waste material to consolidate during slow times
· Maintain SORC site including excess trash removal and dust control
· Coordinate with KMO truck drivers when receiving compost
· Reconcile cash/credit card receipts at the end of the day
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: From $19.25 per hour
Expected hours: No less than 30 per week
