Basic Function
Under the direction and supervision of the team lead/master mechanic, runs assigned machines to produce daily production quotas. Troubleshoots and makes minor repairs to minimize machine downtime.

Under the direction and supervision of the team lead/master mechanic, runs assigned machines to produce daily production quotas. Troubleshoots and makes minor repairs to minimize machine downtime.
Primary Responsibilities
- Maintain proper settings for machines.
- Troubleshoot machines to identify the cause of defects in the product.
- Make minor adjustments or repairs to auto-pack units.
- Perform established duties to machines in the assigned area to maintain production, scrap rates, and product quality.
- Consistently run standard production on 1 -2 machines, depending on the assigned area.
- Clean machines with shop rags & scrapers.
- Maintain good housekeeping in assigned areas.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- A high school diploma/ GED is preferred but not required.
- Must be willing to work well with others.
- Preferably has 1-3 years of a mechanical background.
- Preferably has a working knowledge of micrometers and calipers.
- Can accurately and efficiently record daily production numbers.
- 100% of the time, must be able to work with various machines, hand tools, and equipment.
- Must furnish own set of standard hand tools.
- Must be able to read and write proficiently.
- Must be able to obtain a material handling vehicle license.
- Must be able to follow oral and written instructions.
- Must be able to stand, walk, and bend for extended periods of time.
- 100% of the time, must be able to lift, stoop, bend, walk, pull, and carry /- 75 pounds.
- Must be able to withstand continuous exposure to disagreeable noise, dirt, and fumes within the OSHA allowance.
- Must be comfortable working in an environment where there is possible exposure to lost-time accidents, including but not limited to the hands, arms, feet, or back.
- 100% of the time spent standing throughout the shift.
