Notes from the manager :
- I am looking for either someone with a materials science / engineering degree (particularly with metal emphasis) or someone with a manufacturing background. They don’t have to have a 4 year degree.
- This position has a lot of hands-on work including cutting and preparing metal samples along with testing and analysis so candidates must have experience in a manufacturing setting. Looking for local candidates only.
Major Purpose :
This job is for a Materials Engineering lab technician whose everyday assignments and tasks may vary from routine to infrequent. Duties are relatively broad in scope and may require evaluation by the position holder. The holder of this position will perform materials engineering supporting tasks or complex laboratory analytical functions with limited engineering oversight.
