Summary of the Position: To share life with individuals with disabilities and other assistants. To support with daily activities at one of our residential homes.
Responsibilities and Duties
- Support adults with Intellectual Disabilities and foster mutual and respectful relationships with them
- Provide support in interpersonal communication, problem solving, money management, personal hygiene, and independently set goals
- Provide transportation as needed
- Support Core Members in medical visits & recreational activities
- Promote Independence
- Maintain a clean, safe, and home-like environment
- Promote nutritious meal plans and physical activities that facilitate personal health and well being
- Have knowledge of a Core Members medications and administer medications following the six rights and MAR
- Complete documentation in a timely manner
- Participate in mandatory meetings, trainings, and formations
Qualifications and Skills
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- Have the physical ability to life over 50 LBS and may require prolonged walking/standing
- Have the Ability to make sound judgement when given guidance and priorities
- Have the ability to work as a team member
- Have the ability to receive instruction and implement policies and procedures as trained
- Have the ability to recognize physical changes of a Core Member served, communicate with others, and respond accordingly
- Current valid drivers license and valid insurance
- High School Diploma preferred. Strong computer and writing skills needed.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $15.00 - $17.50 per hour
