Reports to: Shop Foreman/General Manager
Pay Range: $24.00-$28.00/Hr
Shift: M-F, 6am to 2:30pm
The Welder I supports Production in the preparation, processing, and post weld finishing of parts.

The successful candidate will possess the following skills, abilities, and experience:
- 2 years relevant training/ professional experience
- Demonstrate proficiency in TIG welding to quality/NDT standards
- Ability to navigate and complete basic time tracking and operations within ERP system
- Ability to read and follow weld procedures
- Accuracy, attention to detail, and dexterity
- Positive attitude and disciplined
- Ability to read blueprints, models, and quality specifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Safety conscious
- Quality conscious
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following:
- Maintain clean and safe work area
- Perform preventative maintenance tasks as assigned
- Successfully pass all minimum weld qualification testing as identified in Certification Matrix for Welder 2, having completed all qualification testing for Welder 1
- Perform all welding, brazing, or solder jobs assigned in accordance with written and verbal instruction
- Ability to grind, polish, and/or perform pre and post weld finishing as required
- Consistently produce quality parts that meet QMS and customer specifications within targeted production times established

Work Environment:
The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to Shop/Industrial environment. Frequently used PPE in this position is: Ear protection, dust masks, respirators, gloves, and safety glasses.
L&E follows all state and local guidelines for COVID-19. All employees are required to follow guidelines for mask wearing, hand washing, and social distancing.

Supervisory Responsibilities: This position has no supervisory responsibilities
Education and/or Experience: High school diploma or GED. 2 years welding experience, preferably in a Quality System driven industry. Successful completion of all certifications for Welder 1 as specified
Certificates, Licenses, or Registrations: None required
Eligible to work on ITAR projects (lawful permanent resident of the United States as defined by 8 U.S.C.)
Computer Skills:
To perform this job successfully, an individual should have working knowledge of typing, Windows, Microsoft Office, website navigation, and ERP.
