SALARY DESCRIPTION: $15.61 to $20.93 per Hour
FLSA STATUS: Hourly -Overtime Eligible - 10-month position - 35 hours a week.
LOCATION: Charter School (Either campus)
PRIMARY FUNCTION: Aids classroom teacher in supporting and assisting students with keeping pace, distribution of materials, helping students to follow teacher, and other classroom resources, and help maintain classroom management. May help with student and teacher with translation as needed to ensure a high quality, comprehensive, and appropriate instructional program. This is a 10-month position.

BILINGUAL POSITIONS MUST BE ABLE TO PERFORM ALL OF THE DUTIES LISTED BELOW IN ENGLISH AND SPANISH:
- Assist teacher with the implementation of the curriculum; either individually or in groups, to include provide supplemental instruction, classroom management, supervision of students, material preparation, etc. E
- Ensure a safe environment, including knowing where children, prevent accidents, and injury and respond to fire/emergency drills and other incidents. E
- Attend meetings and professional development activities, as required. E
- Establish and maintain good communication, collaboration, and cooperation with all parents, co-workers, etc. E
- Follow all duties of a mandated reporter. E
- Perform other related duties, as assigned. NE

Requirements

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- Sixty (60) college credits from an accredited University or College.
- Valid WI DPI Special Education License or must apply for within 90 days of hire.
- Experience working with children (Highly desirable)
- Bilingual (Spanish and English. (Highly preferred)
- Neat orderly person with great organizational skills.
- Must be a "People Person" with a great disposition and outlook on life, who enjoys working with others, is upbeat and pleasant to work with and is a good listener.
- Must be willing and able to work flexible hours as needed.
- Excellent communication and documentation skills, written and verbal
- Must pass all background checks.
