Position Overview:
La Grange Country Club is seeking enthusiastic and detail-oriented Banquet Servers to join our prestigious team. As a Banquet Server, you will be an integral part of delivering exceptional dining experiences to our members and guests during special events, weddings, corporate functions, and other gatherings.
Key Responsibilities:
- Set up banquet rooms according to event specifications, including arranging tables, chairs, linens, silverware, glassware, and other necessary items.
- Serve food and beverages to guests in a prompt and courteous manner.
- Ensure tables are properly set and maintained throughout the event, including clearing dishes and replenishing beverages.
- Assist in the breakdown and clean-up of event spaces after events, ensuring all areas are left in pristine condition.
- Collaborate with the kitchen and event staff to ensure seamless service delivery.
- Provide exceptional customer service, addressing any guest needs or concerns with professionalism and courtesy.
- Adhere to all health and safety regulations, ensuring a clean and sanitary working environment.
- Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors to ensure smooth event execution.
- Attend pre-event meetings as required to stay informed about event details and special instructions.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience as a banquet server or in a similar role preferred.
- Strong customer service skills and a positive attitude.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 pounds.
- Flexible availability, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Professional appearance and demeanor.
