Labcorp is seeking a Operations Assistant to join our team in RTP, NC. This role works in a high volume, production based environment performing a vital component of clinical lab science.
Work Schedule: second shift Tuesday-Saturday 12:00pm to 8:30pm

Responsibilities:
- Tracking and receiving samples in lab's computer systems.
- Media and Reagent preparation.
- Assisting lab staff with organizing and filing quality control documentation.
- Monitoring lists of samples pending testing and notifying appropriate testing staff.
- Corresponding with other laboratory support groups to resolve client inquiries and concerns.
- Reviewing test orders prior to specimen processing to ensure sample type is appropriate and all necessary information is included. This includes identifying mis-orders and contacting clients to obtain information necessary to complete testing performed at CMBP.
- Loading and managing case output on 81 slide loaders.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent (AA degree preferred).
- Excellent communication (verbal and written) and interpersonal skills.
- Strong computer skills and working knowledge of programs such as Microsoft Word, Outlook, and Excel.
- Previous specimen handling preferred.
