We are currently seeking caregivers for a client located in Perkasie, PA.
We are looking for 1 or 2 caregiver to fill the Weekend Shifts: Shifts are 10 hours/day
- Saturday 8am - 6pm or 9am - 7pm
- Sunday 8am - 6pm or 9am - 7pm
Open to splitting hours between 2 caregivers or both shifts for 1 caregiver.
Easy commute for anyone located in Quakertown, Doylestown, Souderton, Chalfont, Hatfield, Dublin.
The client is a paraplegic individual who uses a wheelchair and requires assistance with:
- Bathing
- Toileting
- Transfers and mobility support
- Meal preparation
- General ADLs
- Light housekeeping
- Companionship
We are looking for a caregiver who can help support the client’s emotional well-being. A positive, uplifting, and encouraging attitude is highly valued for this case. Someone who genuinely enjoys building rapport and boosting morale will thrive here.
Ideal candidates:
- Live in or near Perkasie, PA or have reliable, consistent transportation
- Are dependable and comfortable working independently
- Have experience with paraplegic or mobility-limited clients (preferred but not required)
- Are bilingual in Spanish & English. Must be able to communicate in spanish.
Overview
We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Caregiver to provide essential support and care. This role requires a blend of personal care skills, patient observation, and the ability to work effectively with individuals with diverse needs, including seniors and those with developmental disabilities.
Duties
- Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming.
- Provide companionship and emotional support to clients.
- Monitor and record vital signs and changes in client health status.
- Moniter medications as prescribed and ensure adherence to care plans.
- Prepare nutritious meals according to dietary restrictions or preferences.
- Maintain a clean and safe living environment by performing light housekeeping duties and laundry.
- Engage clients in meaningful activities that promote social interaction and cognitive stimulation.
- Provide specialized care for individuals with Alzheimer’s disease, dementia, autism, or other developmental disabilities.
- Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations regarding patient privacy and confidentiality.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in caregiving, home health, or long-term care settings is preferred.
- Knowledge of first aid and CPR certification is highly desirable.
- Familiarity with patient monitoring techniques and vital signs assessment.
- Experience working in nursing homes or hospice care settings is a plus.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting and assist clients with physical mobility challenges.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a team environment.
- Compassionate nature with a genuine desire to help others improve their quality of life.
- Understanding of care plans, medication administration protocols, and basic cooking skills for meal preparation.
